Naxos

Naxos is bigger and more laid back than the other islands we have visited. We had a lovely dinner with everyone (Christian had squid) and then sampled the Citron liquor which is a specialty of the island. Who knows what tomorrow will bring? Another sunny day on the Aegean I suppose. In this photo I am accompanied by Roxanne from Montreal, a future art teacher! Naxos is very famous for its marble. There are some unfinished Kouri that still lie in the quarries from approximately 500 BC. We may go see them on Saturday.

  1. Good morning from winona, Minnesota. It is very nice here, cool, sunny morning and I'm becoming overwelmed with rummage. A very small one car garage doesn't begin to accomodate junk that should go in a 4 car garage. Your Dad will come tomorrow with another load. Yea gads, what did I get myself into. We will celebrate the Fourth at Barrys with a pot luck and then some fireworks at their park nearby. Citus liquor, well I'll pass on that. I like wine. Doesn't surprise me that you have met many new friends, you are a gem and easy to converse with. Love you. Auntie
