Istanbul

Istanbul is hot, crowded, and fast moving, but lots of fun! Our hotel is on the European side of the Bosphorus, but tonight we went for dinner and drinks on the Asian side. The photo is of Christian in front of Yenicami Mosque. I'd like to give a shout out to Drew for his triathalon today (Way to go!) and to all the Winona garage-salers, (sell lots!)

  1. It has been wonderful here weatherwise...yesteday had a dew point of 41, 77 degrees, the perfect day. Today is cloudy, the Twins lost, just thought I'd throw that in there....Whompus is doing well, I'm headed over there now to visit. I thought she liked to go outside??? Love you and thinking of you constantly...

  2. Never mind how the Twins are doing. Far more crucial to world order (as you will realise, Christian, and far more important than the fortunes of Arsenal) is how England have been doing in the 1st Test Match against Australia. Answer: bloody awful! We shall be in deep mourning by the time you arrive next Sunday, and I suspect that several beers, if not more, will be required to lift the gloom. Anyway, looking forward to the arrival of you both. Go well till then, and send us an email when you get to London. Regards to all your family, and other sundry readers. John. P.S. The above sporting reference was to cricket, for those of you unacquainted with the game God invented to give us all a sense of eternity (a Test Match takes 5 days)
